Padre Guilherme Peixoto, a Portuguese Catholic priest from the Archdiocese of Braga, is a global phenomenon who unites faith and electronic music. Born in 1974 in Guimarães, he is a military chaplain with the rank of lieutenant colonel and a melodic techno DJ, known for incorporating elements of sacred music into his vibrant sets. He rose to fame during the pandemic with livestreams on social media and reached millions when he performed at World Youth Day 2023 in Lisbon, for 1.5 million pilgrims. With headphones blessed by Pope Francis, Father Guilherme uses music to evangelize and inspire, with hits such as “Ave Maria” and “The Church Bells.”
